Spark Program connects middle school students with mentors at premier corporations located throughout the Greater Bay Area.

Spark’s mission is to inspire impressionable youth with possibilities for their future and empower our mentors with their ability to dramatically impact the life of a student.

In the Fall, Spark begins its program by bringing students to Spark Labs, which are small workshops hosted at our partner companies. Together students and volunteers come together and work on a social-emotional skill that they are able to practice throughout the week and bring back to their classrooms. In the Spring, the Spark team will continue their social-emotional learning curriculum with the students through a 13-week mentorship. Spark will match students with adult volunteers and together, students and their mentors explore different career opportunities, build key skills, and build a Spark project. 

Mentorships culminate in Share Your Spark, an event where students and mentors present their projects–anything from working electrical circuits to marketing plans– to their colleagues, friends, families and the community.
